Nate Irving Suplex Tackle GIF
November 15, 2010
If you turn your speakers up all the way, you can hear Wake’s Michael Campanaro squeal right before he hits the turf.
UPDATE: Someone somewhere said Nate’s suplex against East Carolina in 2008 was better. Here it is for comparison; you be the judge:

I really hope this gets a ton of views today…it deserves it.
the analyst doing the game really loved this tackle. i was surprised the Wake runner got up.
I really thought he had broken the guy’s neck. Kinda scary for him, i’m sure. great highlight reel tackle.
Yeah. It’s equal parts scary and awesome.
Is it just me who is watching this verrrryyyy sloooowwwwllllyyyyyy?
ah there it is.
Once it fully loads it should pick up the pace. I think you’re seeing each frame load in sequence, one by one.
I wonder if that was this lady’s son:
It was. And her son GOT TO SMELL WHAT IRVING WAS DOING
Uhh guys, if you’re a wrestler (real, not WWF), this happens about once every meet/dual. Contact sports are dangerous, any way you teach a kid to hit someone, running full speed at them, could potentially result in either the tackler or the object of the hit being paralyzed. As a sport, we can either accept this risk or become like the NFL and arbitrarily penalize teams 15 yards for playing football.
You’re probably right, it probably LOOKS worse than it actually was. But the violent nature with which he was driven into the turf headfirst…I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think there was at least a small chance this kid could’ve been confined to a chair for the rest of his life. And the mere chance of it is pretty frightening (if you’re a parent like me, imagining that’s my son on the receiving end). Still a badass tackle, no doubt.
I was holding my breath waiting for the flag to be thrown on that one…our section started doing ric flair celebrations
