The R&R Podcast: Episode 1

May 20, 2011

Here it is, ladies and gents: the first of what I hope will be many more episodes of the Riddick & Reynolds Podcast. This week’s guest: Steven from

We hit a few recent news items, like the signing of Thomas De Thaey and the commitment of Torian Graham, and delved into the Tom O’Brien/Russell Wilson situation at greater length. And I also make the case for why there’s a benefit to sucking in sports for 20 straight years (no really, I do).

You can also download the episode in mp3 form here.

Wow. RnR. You talk A LOT.

    Otherwise. Good job. 😉

You have no idea. Item #1 on the “Things to improve” list for future podcasts is: Let the guest get in a few words here and there. 😉 But thanks!

That improvement would be a severe impediment to my idea of the perfect drinking game: each time Jim interrupts his guest, take a shot.

Well we can’t have you not drinking during one of my podcasts.

I don’t want to be rude to my guests, so in lieu of that idea, here are some other R&R Podcast Drinking Game ideas you could try:

        – Every three “ums” or “errs”, take a drink.
        – Any back-to-back “um, er” combo, take two drinks.
        – Any time I start a sentence, then start another before finishing the first, take a drink.
        – Any time I start a third sentence in the midst of the second sentence before finishing the first sentence, take three drinks.

If you make it to the third segment before passing out, you win at life.

You can add “any time Steven says ‘you know'” but I wouldn’t want anyone killed. What’s weird is that’s not a crutch during regular conversation for me.

        Talking is hard.

I tried my best to find it last night on The Pirate Bay and couldn’t. All I kept getting were hits for a remix he did with Ludacris and knowing you–as a man of discerning musical tastes–I knew you wouldn’t stand for anything but the original.

Nothing makes you feel like you’re failing at the internet when you can’t find a copy of the most popular song from the most popular pop star on the planet.
