Well, this could sting a bit.

The Blue Devils are coming off a loss to FSU and a tougher-than-expected contest against Virginia in Cameron. I imagine they're licking their chops to enact some revenge for last year's loss in the RBC Center.

State, meanwhile, enters the game after two tough losses against BC and FSU…two games that were winnable and crucial to State's hopes of making the NCAA Tournament this season. Losing both has put the Pack in a spot where they must go at least 8-5 over the remaining conference slate in order to even think about making the big dance, and they'd be a "weak" 9-7 at that.

I don't see State winning this game, but then again, I didn't see them winning last year's game, either. A win tonight might cure some of what ails this program; it certainly would bolster the resume quite a bit.

In fact, this game could be a watershed moment in the Sidney Lowe tenure. A loss almost spells a certain end for his coaching tenure; a win would put State at .500 in the league and inject some renewed confidence among all parties involved with some winnable games down the road. We shall see. One thing's for certain in my mind–we'll either win by 10 or lose by 50.

Tip's at 7:00.
