Another point I would like to make is that it seems that this not just a State problem over the last couple of seasons. Our neighbors to the west had several extended droughts against LBSU and luckily lived to tell about it. It seems the dynamic scorers of yesteryear are few and far between and seem to be harder to find in the current college game. I think it’s a combination of players not being as fundamentally sound, an interest in creating the spectacular three ball or dunk versus the high percentage short jumper, and the talent pool being spread farther across the country as recruiting has intensified on all levels.
