Stony Brook Brings State’s Season To A Disappointing End
June 6, 2010
After reaching the ACC title game last week, it looked like State was poised to make some serious noise in the NCAA tournament. They stood a decent chance to advance to out of the regional.
After disappointing starts from Jake Buchanan against College of Charleston and Anthony Tzamtzis, the Pack found themselves in deep holes early in both games.
Even worse, State’s offense failed to show up this weekend. Other than a Drew Poulk grand slam in the eighth inning against CoC, the Pack only plated four runs over two games.
